About Me
My Work
Born and raised in the freezing northern parts of Michigan, I now reside in the melting heat of southern Texas. It is my joy to homeschool my two sons and volunteer with children in inner-city Houston.
My biggest passions in life are my faith in Jesus Christ and children. I began combining those two passions at the age of 16 when I was allowed to teach Sunday school to preschool children. Though my methods have changed, I have spent the years since then with the same desire: help children know the love of Jesus.
My professional experience includes preschool settings, international education, and numerous Sunday school settings. I have worked with multiple non-profits focussed on vulnerable populations. I hold a Master's degree from Stephen F. Austin State University in Early Childhood Education as well as Professional Certification in Trauma and Resilience from Florida State University.
My Community
Nothing inspires me more than hearing how God is working in your lives! Of course, I am overjoyed when my work brings you closer to God. The storytelling I describe in my book has influenced children to tell their atheist parents Bible stories, caused children to rethink their interactions with teachers, and inspired new storytellers to pursue professional work with children.

Join My Journey
My ultimate goal is to inspire others to effectively teach children the Word of God. In the coming months, I hope to start a non-profit aimed at training and jump-starting Stories in group foster homes, foster families, preschools serving vulnerable children, afterschool programs, and church programs aimed at young children.
I also hope to begin adding video content to this website that explores the art of storytelling through examples of my Core Stories being taught by myself as well as my co-workers in Christ. You do NOT need 20 years of experience to effectively tell these stories and I want to help you get started!
